About the Canadian Mentoring Summit

This landmark event unites mentoring practitioners, researchers, educators, policymakers, post-secondary institutions, private sector leaders, philanthropic investors, and community champions to shape the future of mentoring in Canada.

Call for Workshop Proposals
We invite submissions for 75-minute workshops that actively engage attendees through experiential learning, discussions, multimedia, and Q&A sessions.
Workshop Criteria
- Designed for 30-80 attendees (final size will be shared upon selection).
- Must incorporate interactive elements to foster meaningful engagement.
- Audiovisual Support: Rooms will be equipped with a screen, projector, connection cords for Mac and PC, audio playback capability, Wi-Fi, a flipchart and markers. Presenters must provide their own laptop.
- Room Setup: Default setup is theater-style; alternative arrangements may be requested in proposals.
- Presenters may provide handouts and resource links for attendees.

Selection Process and Presenter Commitments
Submission Deadline Extension: Tuesday, April 7th at 9:00 PM EDT
Selection Review: Conducted by Mentor Canada’s review committee, including experts from academia and youth mentoring fields.
If selected, presenters agree to:
- Register for the Canadian Mentoring Summit by September 15, 2026 (one presenter per workshop will receive an early-bird discount).
- Notify Mentor Canada by October 1, 2026, if you need to cancel your workshop for any reason.
- Cover personal travel and lodging costs (discounted rates apply at the Delta Hotel Ottawa City Centre)
- Avoid direct marketing or sales of products/services during sessions. (For exhibitor inquiries, contact summit@mentorcanada.ca.)
- Submit PowerPoint slides and any other materials by October 16, 2026, to ensure accessibility before and after the Summit.

The person completing the form below will be the main point of contact for all communications unless otherwise specified. The Lead Presenter will receive key communications and is responsible for ensuring that the information is distributed to their co-presenters.
