Capturing the Mentoring Landscape

Mentor Canada conducted a sector survey to understand the prevalence, practices and scope of mentoring programs in Canada.

150 youth-serving organizations participated in the Canadian Survey of Youth Development and Mentoring Organizations between April and September 2020.

The information you shared through this survey helped us to:

  • Establish national trend data on the scope and prevalence of mentoring for Canada’s young people;

  • Identify pressing gaps and challenges in programs and services;

  • Develop new resources, training, and tools to support programs and service providers;

  • Foster and unify a network of people and organizations that support youth mentoring in Canada;

  • Advocate for more public and private investment in youth mentoring.

The goal of the survey was to understand whether youth mentoring needs are being met.
