Mentor Canada is seeking a Training & Digital Media Officer through Canada Summer Jobs to support the development and delivery of Mentor Canada’s online training resources and digital content.

The Training & Digital Media Officer will support the development and delivery of Mentor Canada’s online training resources and digital content. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in instructional design, bilingual communications, and emerging technologies while contributing to impactful work in the youth mentoring field. 


Key Responsibilities 

The following outlines the key responsibilities of the Training & Digital Media Officer: 

Digital Content Creation: 

  • Edit and produce video content for online training and support for the mentoring field in Canada using tools such as Camtasia, Adobe and Canva. 

  • Write and edit copy for digital materials to support Mentor Canada’s online training programs.

E-Learning Design and Development: 

  • Assist in designing and developing e-learning modules using Articulate 360 and other interactive tools. 

  • Support the integration of multimedia elements to enhance learner engagement and accessibility. 

Generative AI Applications: 

  • Explore and apply generative AI tools to support content creation and innovation in training resources. 

  • Contribute to the development of AI-enhanced learning experiences. 

Administrative and Communication Support: 

  • Manage inbox communications and ensure timely responses to inquiries. 

  • Provide logistical support for training initiatives and digital projects, including coordination through Salesforce. 

 

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (ability to work in French is a strong asset). 

  • Experience with video creation and editing. 

  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms such as Articulate 360 and instructional design principles. 

  • Knowledge of generative AI tools and applications. 

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 

  • Comfort working with Salesforce is an asset. 

The candidates must be available to work 30 hours per week between May and August, 2026. Candidates must be between the ages of 18 to 30 and Canadian citizens or permanent residents. This is a summer job with no possibility of extension.

Bilingualism is an asset.
