Mentor Canada is seeking a Marketing Coordinator through Canada Summer Jobs, to support the marketing department with social media, content creation, and digital marketing initiatives throughout the summer.

The Marketing Coordinator requires a mix of creativity, communication skills, and Internet research abilities, with an emphasis on digital content creation, strategic social media engagement, and the ability to align marketing materials with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities 

The following outlines the key responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator: 

Social Media Monitoring and Engagement:

  • Draft social media content based on marketing calendars and Mentor Canada objectives.
  • Monitor internal social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), respond to comments, messages and messages in a timely manner.
  • Proactively engage with posts from strategically-aligned organizations, news articles and relevant influencer content.
  • Share content from partners, industry leaders, and collaborators to strengthen relationships.

Writing Marketing Content:

  • Write concise, clear, engaging content for marketing collateral such as emails, print or digital pamphlets, the website, and media releases.

Creating Visual Content:

  • Create multimedia social media posts (i.e., images, GIFs, and short videos) to increase engagement.
  • Design infographics to present complex information clearly, using MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and/or design software such as Canva or InDesign ensuring all graphics are optimized for use on various platforms (e.g., social media, websites, presentations).

Expanding Mentor Canada’s marketing prospect database:

  • Research potential clients and partners using search engines, social media, and business directories.
  • Use LinkedIn and other professional networks to identify key decision-makers.
  • Collect and organize contact information for outreach (e.g., via Excel spreadsheet or Salesforce.com)

The candidates must be available to work 30 hours per week between May and August, 2026. Candidates must be between the ages of 18 to 30 and Canadian citizens or permanent residents. This is a summer job with no possibility of extension.
