Mentor Canada leads national initiatives that strengthen the mentoring ecosystem across the country. Our work brings together partners from different sectors to co-create tools, conduct cutting-edge research, and build capacity to expand access to high‑quality mentoring for young people and the organizations that serve them. Our goal is to help close the mentoring gap so every youth can find the right support when they need it.
Mentoring as a Catalyst for Youth Employment
Funded by the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS), this project uses Sensemaking to help the youth employment ecosystem adopt high‑quality mentoring practices, improving employment outcomes for youth ages 18 to 30 across the country.

Mentor Me Equal: Inclusive mentorship for systemic change
This national project, funded by Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) Canada and co‑led with Mentorat Québec, helps employers, professional associations, unions, and other organizations design inclusive mentorship programs that address systemic barriers facing women and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, particularly in male‑dominated sectors.
The State of Mentoring Research: Insights and Action
L'initiative de recherche exhaustive de Mentor Canada sur l'état du mentorat a révélé deux éléments essentiels :
Les jeunes qui bénéficient de mentorat tirent des avantages significatifs en termes de confiance en soi, de poursuite des études et d'emploi, par rapport à ceux qui n'en bénéficient pas.
Un jeune adulte canadien sur deux se souvient d'une période, durant sa jeunesse, où il souhaitait avoir un mentor, mais n'en a pas trouvé.
Cet écart crucial en matière de mentorat affecte maintenant la vie de millions de jeunes à travers le pays, en particulier ceux des groupes en quête d'équité.
Mentor Canada se consacre à combler les lacunes en matière mentorat au Canada. Nous développons des ressources de mentorat novatrices, des connaissances issues de la recherche, des technologies, de l'expertise, des outils et des possibilités d'apprentissage accessibles à tous, partout au Canada.
